this Saturday we’re starting the October holiday proper with a party at the brand new Mural Bar.

It’s in the same space as the old Panic Room but upgraded with a new soundsystem. should be good, it’s a nice space.

A little about the flyer – in Chinese, male prostitutes are called “ducks,” or 鸭子, and female hookers are chickens, or “鸡.” Hengshan Lu is notorious for having the full spectrum of prostitution on one long street – everything from talking girls to semi-pros to full-on hooks. Everyone is throwing theme parties these days so here’s ours. Hooks and ducks.

Just kidding. Fuck theme parties.

The music on Hengshan Lu is basically stale top 40 mixed badly or not at all (but always loud). For example, Phebe 3D club. The name says it all. We want to change that cause it’s a nice street to walk on and there’s a decent late-nite kebab spot one minute away from the new Mural.

It’s been around wayyyy longer than Dada, Shelter, Logo, or almost anywhere else you can think of in SH. Mural bar sat just off Hengshan Lu and kept it real for ten years with Latin nights and a famous open bar, and they’re moving to the main strip this weekend. Expect hip hop, reggaeton, party music, club music…the same house party vibes we always bring.

Really feeling this track. Don’t know why someone didn’t think of mixing ghetto house chants with disco before, but leave it to the ecclectic Chrissy Muderbot (reppin Chicago) to do it well.
